Simple recipe to use up my chicken livers left over from processing our chickens. My dogs will do anything for these treats. High motivation treat for our foster dogs. Thanks for the recipe have made 3 batches and love healthy treats my dogs can have.

I never leave reviews but had to make an account and leave a 5 star review on this one! SO much cheaper than buying dog treats, and pretty easy to make! It does stink up the kitchen a bit, but it is well worth it. I just made a 4x batch for my dog and all his friends. They all love these! Thank you for the recipe!

This is a really great recipe, I did add peas, carrots. I also made another with carrots and cranberries, my 3 dogs love them. Whenever I make them, my dogs are sitting right beside me, they'll look in the oven window waiting for them to finish up. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.

I made it. My beef liver lover dog inhaled it. I only baked it for almost 8 minutes, it turned out great! Definitely a keeper. Thank you very much.

Awesome recipe! My dog loves it!
I find they are still too wet after baking and I don't want them going bad. So I when I cut them into bite sized pieces, I bake them again for ten minutes until they are nice and crunchy.

Making these again because they were such a hit with my pup. He loves them so much he has learned some new tricks!

I used a one-pound calf liver and doubled the recipe. I used a Vitamix and it worked very well for the oats and liver. I was concerned about feeding my lab puppy oatmeal and wheat flour but he has been eating milk bones for several weeks and this recipe is a thousand times better than what is in a milk bone. My pup absolutely loves these treats.

I used calf's livers but kept the rest the same. So easy to make. My picky pooch (with chicken allergy) LOVES these! Put two quart size freezer bags in freezer for easy retrieval later.

Didn't stink my kitchen up to much and all three of my dogs think they are AMAZING!!! I cut them small and stuck them in the dehydrator for a small crunchy treat.

My dog (and all the dogs in the neighborhood) LOVE these! I make a double batch using beef liver. I spread them on a cookie sheet to bake, then cut them with a pizza cutter. (Not sure why recipe calls for greasing pan and then using parchment. I just use parchment and they come out fine.) I keep them in the freezer, and just pull out about 3 days worth at a time.

I make a very similar recipe, although I use canned pumpkin, liver ,eggs, oil and flour. The main difference is that I score them before baking, then separate them and put into a dehydrator to remove all moisture. Perfect dog cookies! Add-ins could include sesame seeds, finely grated apple or zucchini, etc.

For my first attempt to make my own dog treats, this recipe was really effective. I doubled the batch and I am very happy with the results. I am using them for high value training treats, and they turned out firm, but slightly soft. They easily cut into very small square, which I can freeze and use as I need them. Thank you for the recipe.

I used beef liver and my dog loved these treats! So much healthier and cheaper than buying packaged "Liver Bites." My photo shows the amount of bites the recipee makes for less than $5 of ingredients versus $16 for the pet shop version. I froze them in a ziplic baggie and take out a small amount as needed. Sometimes I even feed directly from the freezer. The recipe doesn't say how long these last in the freezer or in the fridge. I keep mine in the fridge for a week.

My dog will literally cry for these biscuits. Super easy with the food processor, sticky when spreading it thinly on the baking sheet(I did this for more crunch) but so worth it. What a great treat, thank you for sharing this recipe!
