This is an interesting book that really IS intended for grandmothers, nanas, grans......It contains many words of wit and wisdom for today's grandmothers; someone old enough to be a grandmother, but still do the things that she likes to do. According to the author, "A mother becomes a true grandmother the day she stops noticing the terrible things her children do because she is so enchanted with the wonderful things her grandchildren do". This is an interesting book that really IS intended for grandmothers, nanas, grans......It contains many words of wit and wisdom for today's grandmothers; someone old enough to be a grandmother, but still do the things that she likes to do. Another wonderful gift I received as I became a Grammy by a well seasoned Grandma! Fun short stories and thoughts, that will make you laugh, cry, and will defiantly touch your heart. Only 6 months in, I could relate to many of her thoughts, and suggestions!! Fun & helpful, too!

As previous reviewers have said, this book was a gift. The day I received it I sat down and read the whole thing. Cute and a nice surprise. I will pass it on to any new grandmother!

If being a grandmother means being a rich New Yorker who sees grand-parenting as spending lotsa money on your grandchildren then this book is for you. It wasn't for me. It is blessedly short and did not make me cringe.
I have ten grand children. They are not going to remember the family dinners at my lovely home in Cupertino, the reading of books, the laughter, cuddles, adventures, day trips, or Gran's magnificent collection of toys. They will remember that they belong and that they are loved.
